Kicking off this Parachute bedding review is my first purchase from Parachute: the duvet cover. It was honestly love at first sight… or touch… however, you want to look at it. After unwrapping the box, it was clear, the duvet cover was soft as butter and something I wanted to snuggle up with at night. Following the first wash and placement on the bed, it was love at second sight – that perfect relaxed crinkle linen look was achieved. It instantly took the look of our bedroom from ok to pretty luxurious – it happened to also instantly elevate the quality of my sleep. Just kidding. Nothing can help my sleep.

My duvet cover is in the colour fog and is the perfect gray tone. You close the bottom of the duvet by buttoning up a row of buttons, which honestly is not my favourite, but it seems to be the norm. All four corners of the inside of this duvet cover have ties to attach your duvet insert into to prevent it from moving about – which I love and should be in all luxury bedding duvet covers.

The duvet cover for our regular king-sized bed is a great fit and slightly oversized – the look I love. You see, Parachute’s duvet covers are the same size for Kings and Cali Kings which is great for me because it feels oversized – something that’s hard to find. Needless to say, my first portion of the Parachute bedding review, duvet cover, 10/10.

The Duvet Insert from Parachute Review

As mentioned earlier, the duvet covers are specifically designed for king/cali king size, which means you may need to upgrade to the appropriate size duvet insert. While a regular king duvet insert can fit (obviously, it's smaller!), it would result in one side of the bed being without any insert pouf. On the other hand, the king-sized duvet insert from Parachute is significantly larger than a regular king-sized one, and I am a huge fan of it.

However, personally, I still believe it could be a tad bigger. You know that overstuffed look you can achieve with pillows? Well, you can achieve it by using an insert that is one size bigger. It would be fantastic if they made duvet inserts larger than a king so that we could achieve that overstuffed look in our duvets! Not only is this Parachute bedding review beneficial for you, but hey Parachute, I have some amazing marketing ideas too! Just for the record, you can still achieve a pretty good cloud-like appearance.

I should also mention that I opted for the down-alternative duvet insert, and I absolutely love it. It feels and poufs just like down – I'm obsessed!

The Parachute Sheet Set Review

Upon receiving the sheets for the first time, I was taken aback by their lack of softness compared to the duvet cover. The duvet cover's softness completely overshadowed that of the sheets. Initially, I was inclined to sleep next to the duvet cover and had little interest in the sheets. However, I persisted and after approximately six months and multiple washes, they did become noticeably softer. Nevertheless, it was a lengthy process.

Presently, I adore the sheets, although my husband does not share the same sentiment. He believes they generate excessive heat. To be fair, they do provide a slightly warmer sleeping experience. However, I personally enjoy feeling warm and cozy while I sleep. Linen is said to have cooling properties, but I have not experienced that with these sheets or any other linen sheets I have slept on. Perhaps I am doing something incorrectly, or maybe it is all a deception.

Furthermore, my husband prefers tightly fitted sheets, and it is evident that the linen sheets do not conform to that preference. Therefore, if you are someone who appreciates a more relaxed, cozy, and luxurious appearance, the linen sheets might be suitable for you. However, if you intend to iron them daily, I would recommend opting for a different material.

In general, I am extremely satisfied with my parachute sheet set, duvet insert, and duvet cover. As a reviewer, it is important for me to mention that I have complete confidence in the quality of Parachute's products, and their customer service has been exceptional. Although I did encounter a minor issue with my shipping, they promptly resolved it with just one email. Therefore, if you appreciate a cozy and relaxed linen atmosphere, I believe that investing in parachute sheets, duvets, and inserts is worthwhile. Moreover, if you, like me, cherish the feeling of crawling into bed at night, I believe that investing in good bedding is a wise decision.
